Saturday night(29th April),saw a healthy contingent of Microsprints assemble at Nowra Speedway to contest the resheduled NSW Championship,following an aborted attempt several months ago.Adding to the already strong local lineup,that was bristling with many current and former State and National Champions where the Queensland cars of Mark Giersbergen and Les Nelson.With such an impressive aray of talent on offer,the racing was simply sensational.This was helped by promoters(Wollongong Speedway Club) providing an awesome racetrack that was good all night. ... The western Australian speedway commission have given the go ahead to form a state body for the Micro sprint division. The association (not yet official) held its first meeting in early April with a head count of 8.
