The W.A. Micro Sprint Association has recieved its certificate of incorporation from the department of consumer and employment protection. The club is building momentum not only at the commitee level but has three car's at varying stages of construction. Doug Barclay is expecting his race ready RTS chassis car to arrive from the U.S.A. sometime towards the end of August. Brad and Barry Pages have purchased a 2002 cr250 locally that they will convert to methanol and bolt up to thier 2006 LGM chassis wich is a race ready car. Troy McAuliffe has taken delivery of a C&C Performance built 270 stroker motor used succesfully by "Billy the kid Coffey" at many outings this year at Paradise Speedway in New York State America, Troy has yet to secure a chassis but has many irons in the fire on this front and should have something sorted out soon. |

The Victorian Micro Sprint scene is set to come alive this season with a successful Information night held last night. With the two cars already being constructed on display a great deal of interest was shown in the class by all who attended. The McLean Racing HQ was full of people from all areas of local speedway from promoters, drivers, officials and casual onlookers. |

Microsprints have been around in Australia for many decades predominately in NSW and Qld. In recent times both Victoria and Western Australia have registered clubs giving Microsprints a true national presence and opening up the opportunity to develop a series to show case this potent class. |

Saturday night(29th April),saw a healthy contingent of Microsprints assemble at Nowra Speedway to contest the resheduled NSW Championship,following an aborted attempt several months ago.Adding to the already strong local lineup,that was bristling with many current and former State and National Champions where the Queensland cars of Mark Giersbergen and Les Nelson.With such an impressive aray of talent on offer,the racing was simply sensational.This was helped by promoters(Wollongong Speedway Club) providing an awesome racetrack that was good all night. |

The western Australian speedway commission have given the go ahead to form a state body for the Micro sprint division. The association (not yet official) held its first meeting in early April with a head count of 8. A second meeting is to be held on the 5th of May at wich a temporary committee will be put in place and no doubt everyone will go home with a list of job's. |

Saturday night sees the final night of racing for the microsprints as they head to Nowra speedway for the Nsw title. A large field is expected to compete Rhys Marchant, Paul Curran, Brett Sainsbury will be on hand with several interstaters making the long trip down. |
